Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering as well as an Institute for Translational Neuroscience Scholar. Graduated with a BS in Bioengineering from University of California-San Diego in 2000. Went on to complete a dual masters in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of Michigan where he also completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2005. His graduate work at the University of Michigan was advised by Dr. David Anderson, Ph.D., who established and served as Director of the Center for Neural Communications. Completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in the Otorhinolaryngology Department at the Hannover Medical University in Germany from 2006 to 2009 under Dr. Thomas Lenarz, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology.
